Do you mean working cocker? If she's KC reg then yes you can, but as the physical type varies so much and can be vastly different to the show type you probably can't realistically expect to do too well. If I took my working bred goldie in the ring I can't imagine the looks we'd get! :) but if you're thick skinned and just want a nice day out with your dog, go for it.

If you mean it is a Field Spaniel (not cocker) then yes providing you register the dog in your name or you do not mind entering it under mothers name adding, the late, in front then you would be the handler. As said above if it is a working cocker you could show it but not with much satisfaction

As an and perhaps those with registered working bred versions of some breeds actually showed them perhaps more people would perhaps consider moving away from exaggerated show and working type dogs and aim for a more dual purpose dog.

Outcrosses into the separated liens may be good for the gene pool too.

There must be some working bred dogs who still adhered physically to the breed standard, some I agree bear little resemblance but many are still typical for their breed, though maybe not of the current show style.

If she's KC registered then yes, she can be shown, but if she's a working type of cocker then I'm afraid she will always be placed last in her classes, simply because the working cocker body shape is so far from the breed standard as to almost be a different breed. :-(

She would be entered in the ordinary cocker spaniel classes, or AVNSC if there were no cocker classes at the show.

No, if there are Cocker Spaniel classes, she must be entered in those. She can only go in NSC classes if Cocker Spaniels dont have any classes. :)
