Does anyone have any recommendations for how to find a house/dog sitter? We won't use kennels and the dogs will be happier in their own environment, so we're looking for someone who will live in the house. Our usual sitter is now a full time carer hence the need to find an alternative.
I know there are lots of companies but it seems a bit of a minefield so looking for recommendations!

There are several in my area. Co Durham. If you can get on facebook go to Hunwick Dog Parliament and ask a question about your area. Someone is sure to reply.
Lois Hetherington has house sat for me and walked the dog when I was away. PM me if you want more details.
Alternatively Animal Angels has house sitters all over.
