Ok, I admit it, I've hit a new low. I not only spent yesterday evening watching Midsomer Murders but I fell asleep half way through!
It's really bugging me, who did it?! It was called "The Great and the Good", young schoolteacher, dead councillor, dead handyman,  sleepwalking, lots of people  dying etc etc. Anyone watched it??
:-)

I have never watched a full episode as it always sends me to sleep !

It should be called Midslumber Murders !

ha, I googled it briefly this morning and got on a page discussing that. apparently if you count up the murder rate in midsomer (it's an actual area I think?) its twice the rate per million than in london, but way less than half of new york!

I love Midsomer Murders, and must have watched them all too many times. :-)  Rubbish with names agilabs but the murderer in a nutshell was the rich husband in the big house with the horrendously snobby wife, who was in terrible debt and so was trying to frame the school teacher so that he could sell the school and re-load his bank account.

Must admit I often forget who the murderer was in re-runs as after 2hrs of getting to know characters and red herrings it is often a surprise reasoning at the end. :-)

(Midsomer County is not real, but there are real villages beginning Midsomer ....... and it is filmed in S. Oxfordshire and Bucks, beautiful villages.) I love watching it for some pure English indulgence. :-)

Thank you! not who I guessed at all.........
It really bothers me when I miss the end of things, no matter how rubbish they are too! I do like Midsomer, its a bit like Miss Marple or Murder She Wrote, very gentle un-stressfull afternoon viewing :-)

My guilty pleasure is curling up on a Saturday watching any of those old Ealing comedies. My all time fave is the ladykillers. It's what Autumn was made for........

I enjoy Mid Somer too, we like naming the locations, often  our favourite walks and pub stops.
