So my problem is-  once the topic has reached the second page, I am automatically taken to where I was last time reading the topic.  I hope that makes sense.  If I click on the number 1 to go back to the beginning of the topic, it won't allow me to go back and re-read.  Why?

Click on 'Board Index' at the top ^ then click 'Mark Read' and 'Mark Old'. Then you'll be able to read the earlier posts. :-)

All double dutch to me I just stick to Active Topics and can go back and forward as much as I want. :)

As soon as I log on I go straight to Active Topics.  But next time I log on it takes me to the end of the topic.  Or, rather, to where I last read.  I never use anything except Active Topics.  (Never been very bright really)  :-)

You are the first person that I've ever known admit that!  Nobody understands why I have a problem with it.  Someone from work invited me to play some game with her.  I've never accepted because I don't have a clue what she means.

I can manage Solitaire and Mah Jongg.  Facebook had me lost from the day I joined.  Why can't people just send me an email which I can understand.

I use it, to keep in touch with people, but as for playing games, pokes ?!?  Etc.   Completely beyond me I'm afraid.   And no interest in it anyway.

I don't use active topics in CD, just bookmarked the main Board Index and take it from there.    I do use the ignore button, but it took aaaaages to find it the first time LOL

One thing I've found really useful in Facebook, is the v button on those things that pop up.  Usually games requests and similar.   If you press the v button, you get options to never see them again :-D.    

Also you can switch off apps in settings -  all of them :-D

Makes FB. much easier to use ;-)

That's me, and I have to many contacts to keep track of.  I like forums topic headings tell me if I want to read.  More importantly far easier to then go back weeks, months later for info.
