Hi I hope no one minds me posting this again, but the last thread got distracted into flyball discussions.

Does any one attend an agility or flyball club in South East England and/or London? My pup is too young yet, but I am hoping to visit a few clubs first to see what they are like and also to gain some knowledge myself before I add the dog to the equation! I have been to the Agilitynet site (its great) but some of the clubs have no telephone number and do not reply to emails (might be old addresses).

Hi Nicola, how far into London are you? I attend 2 clubs, one is just off junction 3 of M3 and is very good, people come for miles!

Also, the KC should be able to ive you a list of registered clubs, or they are in the KC breed and training societies handbook if you can get a copy

I am in North London - Barnet so the M3 might be a bit far, but I may well consider it if Jay turns out to be talented and I need more training nights! Thanks for your response, and I will try the KC too :)

The club I go to is an agility club although my other club does do flyball (they have only just started so still very basic) but that is in Eversley which is approx 10 mins from J4 of the M3. I go to agility tonight though so will ask if there are any flyball clubs a bit more local (where are you nearest, Sunbury?)

At the moment I live near Richmond (right at the start of the m3) and my partner lives near woking (near junction 3). We are looking for the right puppy at the moment so I wouldn't be able to join till the pup was old enough (about 2 yrs). I am interested that there are some near London though because from searching on the Internet I have only been able to find clubs that are too far north, like Leicestershire. I've just got back but couldn't find any flyball people, there must be a national body though, there are definitely lots of new teams/clubs springing up.
The agility club I went to tonight is in West End, between Woking and the M3 (off the A322) As I said it is an excellent club, there are classes on most nights of the week, and some days and they even do pre agility obedience classes (from as soon as they have had their vaccs) Let me know if you want the details.
What puppy are you looking to get? We are having problems deciding at the moment, it is between a collie, border terrier and a staff at the moment, so a bit more decision time needed me thinks!
