Topic Dog Boards / Health / excessive sneezing

My Beagle had her nose in a bush a few days ago ( as Beagles do ) and sneezed for a few minutes afterwards and then was fine. I assumed she had just breathed in something that irritated her nose and was gone. Last night she did the same thing but has not stopped sneezing since. All night and all today so far. She is not distressed, is eating and drinking well and is ready for walks etc, so she is not a sick dog.
Any ideas what I can do to help the irritation in her nose ( apart from cutting back the damned bush) just to stop her allergy to whatever she has breathed in.

BTW the bush is Persicaria Red Dragon. I have checked all the dangerous to dogs plants and this is not mentioned, however it is in flower at the moment.
She does not have nasal discharge or anything that makes me feel I should run to the vet, it just seems like something ( pollen? ) has irritated her nasal passages

I wonder if anti histamine tablets  might make a difference .

I had some children's Benedryl and gave her half a dose of that. It didn't make much difference but over night the sneezing settled down and this morning it is only every so often. So she is definitely improving. I wonder if it was the pollen on the bush that did it because our Dalmation had a sneezing fit from that bush although that was over in 10 minutes. Maybe the Beagle nose took in more pollen that the Dalmation did.

Thank goodness it is nearly gone
