Just want people experience about the best way to go about getting a some kennels constructed ?

I am trying to put a business case together to set up a boarding kennels / hydrotherapy business.

I looked at the hydrotherapy option a few years ago but stopped after we found the current property was not suitable . We have now found a property in the right location with a few acres of land with stabling and outbuildings which looks ideal for both business so jus starting to get some set up costs together. I might even get grooming in the business plan as I could rent that side out to somebody as there is market around here for one as well .

edited to add: not sure where you are, but found this place that construct and fit kennels / catteries, from the ground up (plumbing etc). They might be good for brain picking?

have you asked on fb? I know there a few there who have got or looked into kennels

No keeping it off their for the moment as keeping it away from local people for the moment as want to get the business plan done first

It is also set up and big enough to hold ring craft and dog shows as well !!

Have you got planning permission for the kennels/hydrotherapy and how many others within travelling distance of you as that could be a factor in what competition you'd have and how to set your prices etc

Yes it has upto a point but it would have to be changed slightly. Yes I have already started looking at competition and what will be totally different is that we will offer a whole service fur anything related to dogs and I will also look at inviting behaviourists and alternative therapists to operate from the premises on a franchise basis.

Sorry just to add I have already pitched this idea to the apprentice application process to see if they thought it was a good business model as looked at piloting this to look at rolling this out to other areas  in the country  as part of the business plan  and I was invited to an interview . I declined as I never would have wanted to go on the apprentice but wanted to test the idea .

We run a management consultancy business so we do know how to run businesses as we work with small to large blue chip companies but with my love of dogs and wanting to slow down I to a business I will love the is my dream opportunity !

Just to update on this we have had an offer accepted on he property we are after !

Quite excited as I can't wait to get it all sorted and move in so I can start planning the business and all the improved a we need to do !

It is a dream property with the nearly five acres of land and the outbuildings I can't wait to get it into use and enjoy running a business I have been wanting to do for years involving dogs !
