With my bitch on her final week-10days ,off for her Herpes vacc tomo and a vet check  I am pretty sure I have everything in my whelping kit that anyone could need
I bought some puppystim after reading a post on here and how good it is, i have towels galore, something called a one puff (bought it from LKA 2 years ago) its amazing has saved puppies before!! Dental floss- excellent for tying off umbillical cords, scissors, heat pad and warming box, spare beds, newspaper, heat lamp, id collars, glucose for bitch (maybe for me too), scales, kitchen roll, antibacterial spray, lord knows what else its like mary poppins handbag!!

What does your whelping kit contain and do you have any must haves??

MUST have Dopram life saver.   I would rather throw it away unused than not have any when a pup has difficulty breathing.  If I had nothing else these 2 things are my must haves.

Would never buy KY jelly as obstetric gel seems to work far easier.  After all, it's the right thing for the job.

I have to say that if it was a final week I would also remind myself that a perfectly viable birth can be on day 56.
