My FIL has gone into a care home and we have inherited a freezer full of food. Amongst the goodies is a Haggis. Now, I may be half Scottish, but there is no way I will eat this 'thing'. Would it ok to give to my dog, not all at once?
I really like haggis have you given it a go? It's isn't that bad
I can't bare the smell of it. I'm not a vegetarian, but I only eat a few meats like chicken, turkey and bacon products by choice. My mum served haggis occasionally and I couldn't even stay in the house!
NO because more than likely it has onion in some form in it and also high in salt don't know what else it contains that could be toxic to dogs Also if may upset your dog if he isnt used to different foods. Generally processed meats arnt good for dogs but any form of pure meat or fish and uncooked bones are fine.
Thanks everyone. It seems a bit 50/50 whether to give it to her or not. She seems to have a robust digestion and seems to deal well with leftovers that are suitable. I will think on, it's frozen solid so can stay that way for a while longer. I need to check the sell by date before I ask if any friends fancy it. Just spent the morning clearing out the larder and kitchen cupboards of FIL's house, certainly some interesting sell by dates in there. :-)

Although I love haggis and I have given small amounts to our dogs which they loved, I wouldn't give large quantities. It's usually full of salt :(
