Hi I gave my 6 1/2 month old Gsp girl 2 1/2 drontal plus tabs at 10 am this morning. She has been ok all afternoon but after her walk about 3pm she started acting strange - drooling, shivering and then bringing up a lot of undigested food! Wondering whether this could be side effects of the worming tablet...she hasn't eaten her 2nd meal tonight and is very restless. She weighs over 21kg so the dosage was correct. I'm also wondering if the 5 hours between taking the tablets and being sick was enough for the tablets to get into her system. Thanks.

Last time I used Drontal, all 4 dogs were sick over the course of a few hours. I now use Panacur!!

I have had a dog that had an alergic reaction to it, watch for any swelling and if you see any then you need to visit the vet. If you have Piriton the give that before taking the dog to the vet, ask the vet whilst on the phone

Same for me Panacur or milbemax (i think that's puppy or small breed though)

I had one dog who was occasionally sick after having Drontal, so I used to give it last thing at night so he went to sleep, and he was fine then. I now do that with all of them as a matter of routine and we've had no problems at all.

My one was sick after Drontal and had the runs with Panacur. She's fine on Milibex
