Very interesting ! Never knew they existed and love the dishonest one who used some of the money to go and buy biscuits !

What a lovely story. It does sound as though some of them were exploited, but typical of canines, they worked loyally to the end. Nice to know lots of people benefitted from their hard work. Am almost tempted to start a petition asking for the taxidermies to be put back on the platforms.

Can you imagine that happening today !?.
It certainly was a diffrent time, fascinating story.

There was a tv program on last week about Edinburgh, a tale was told about a chap who was Hunt Master just outside Edinburgh, and every week he would ride his horse from the New Town ,to Haymarket train station, get on the train, with his horse, to get to the meet !.
