Does anyone have any knowledge of the above ? I am asking for a friend who has a very young pup around 10weeks and one of the litter mates just gone to its new home has gone down with this.
Should she be worried is there anything she should do ?
also entropian is it genetic ?

We've been treating a dog for neospora for several months - probably getting on for a year -  and it's believed that the pup contracted it from eating unfrozen raw mince when it was still with the breeder. Your friend should ask her vet if there are any preventative measures she should take; also what symptoms to lok out for.

And yes, entropion is believed to be hereditary.

Thank you jeangenie. I hav suggested she speaks to her own vet with regard to this especially as they arnt sure where the pup contracted it from. The area the pups live is farm land with sheep and cattle.
I am surprised it was from frozen raw as my limited understand is that freezing kills the parasite but I guess there are always risks

The pup is being treated fro entropian and I believe its not the only one in the litter with an eye problems. I hope the breeder thinks very hard for the future

I said the mince was unfrozen. ;-)

I would doubt the pups had been on the farm grazing land at such a young age.
