Topic Dog Boards / Health / Weepy eyes in a collie?
- By Nikita [gb] Date 24.06.14 08:24 UTC
Willow's had slightly weepy eyes since she was a young pup.  No gunk or anything, no tears, just sometimes she's damp under the eyes.  It's not constant and there doesn't seem to be a food connection that I can pin down.  She's been on a few different foods since she got here a year ago as she's not a fan of kibble so I've been trying to find one she likes in a bid to not have to feed her raw (financial reasons, I've already got three on it which is hard enough).  But there's never been any increase/decrease in the weepiness.  It just happens sometimes then clears up for a while, then starts again.  She's got tear staining on her white side from it.

Any thoughts?  I did query sight issues when she was a bit younger but in hindsight, she did have a particularly nasty second fear period at that time and the random spookings she was having which worried me have settled down for the most part.  She was a year old in April so still a young girl.  I can't see anything wrong the eyes themselves, they look nice and clear.
