Actually that's all year round of course, but I am welling up thinking about my son Henry who has just finished his BA(Hons) in Architecture/Planning at Bristol and will soon be off to the job of his dreams in Madrid. Today I just have a picture of him in my head as a baby of 2 running out kitchen door making off with a carrot in his hand, laughing all the way...so proud of my best ever Hen, and reminded again that 21 years have passed by in a flash--so happy and sad at the same time xxx

So pleased for you.

Funny isn't it but I most often think of my son Richard (RIP) as a tot rather as the young man he was.

I wonder why we do that, Brainless--I bet if we were to ask people on CD what their most powerful memory of their (grown up) child is it would be as a baby or toddler. I know since my brother died my main memories of him are not as a man of 54, which he was when he died, or 50 when I last saw him, but as a small kid. Very strange

I find it hard to believe that Wednesday will the 1st anniversary of his death, it still hardly seems real.

So very sorry for your loss, Brainless, what could ever be more unfair than losing one's child, whatever their age. I ill be thinking of you --big hugs and wishing you some bright memories to help you through xxx

A have got ten minutes to go until we hear my daughters results . We know it won't be a first class degree as she has had some health issues that really affected her but what ever she comes out with we will be very proud. She has done modern languages , French and Spanish so it will put her in a very good position with employers as earlier in the week they reported a great gap in the market for people with language skills so the future hopefully will be positive for her !

Proud moment here just heard she got a 2.1 so we are extremely proud of what she has done ! Makes all the arguments and stress as a teenager well with it seeing her come out with this !
