My 13wk pup has what I'm pretty certain is puppy pyoderma - kind of spots on her tummy. Sometimes they have little white-heads, other times the white heads go away and just the red spot is left. She is also scratching a lot - not necessarily that area, just generally (but I think that could be because she's not very good at identifying where the itch is coming from!). Absolutely no sign of fleas and the breeder Frontlined them at 6wks anyway.
She had this from when I got her (8wks), only it was much less noticeable and just a tiny bit near the genitals. Sometimes it seems to get better, then it comes back again - now it has moved up her tummy. It's not bad and there's not much of it.
From what I can google, the treatment for this is 3wks of ABs.. :( (Starting to wonder if I will ever own a puppy which doesn't need ABs for some reason or another!?)
Does this ever go away by itself? Is there something I can try first which isn't ABs? Or should I just go to the vet and get the ABs? It seems very very common, from what I can read, so hoping someone has some info for me...
Thanks!

Thanks Puggy... I've managed to find online that chlorhexidine topically is supposed to help (which is in Savlon) and one person said they used neosporin (topical AB) with success. Another idea was Thornit, although not sure how I'd apply that there. Going to try that lot first, not all together of course...
