Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Orijen dog food suppliers in Plymouth Devon?
- By saga Date 22.06.14 20:14 UTC
Hi This is a long shot but does anyone know a pet shop that sell Orijen dog food in or near Plymouth Devon? I've just realised I'm going to be out of food by the time I get back from my holiday next week. If I order it online it probably won't arrive in time. I've been searching the internet but many of Plymouth pet shops don't provide a website of their products! Thanks in advance.

Don't know if you ever go out as far as Tavistock but Ron's pet supplies now do loads of the higher quality kibbles etc now. Can't think of any in Plymouth that stock it. Think Ron's is your best bet! Ring them as they only recently changed a lot of their stock.

Oh or you could try Canagan in the short term, it's similar stuff, The Ark sell it. Just in case you are stuck :)

Hi Tectona. (fellow Devonian) lol Yes I did phone Ron's and they said to try Canagan. They no longer stock Orijen. I am going to gradually change from  Orijen to Canagan simply because the latter is easier to get hold of! I now have Orijen on order from Kernow pet shop in Saltash. Also phoned the Ark this morning at your suggestion, they didn't seem to have heard of Orijen! Thanks for information, I shall buy the Canagan  from the Ark when I come back from Hols! Thanks for taking the trouble to reply to my query.

Try looking on Bern Pet Foods, they import it in and hopefully have a list of stockists

Ha ...every day's a holiday being retired and owning a GSP pup! lol  Thanks once again!

Thanks Sue. Will have a look. Although I now have an order of Orijen in  process. Just wanted an easy to obtain dry dog food. Orijen seems not to be locally obtainable. Ordering online is a bit cheaper but I hate having to stay in and wait for deliveries! They never seem to turn up on time! lol

Some online deliveries are  pretty swift and you can leave directions on where to put it (in my case 'just inside front gate) but having said that I've only just caught Parcel Force attempting a 2nd delivery of dog beds & the driver said he's not allowed to come up to the house because I have a sign about dogs on the gate post. Strange, because most other drivers DO deliver!

Don't talk to me about parcel farce ! Yesterday when I was in they left a large damaged and wet box if chilled meat in my doorstep in the sun.they hadn't rung the bell or the dogs would have barked if I had missed them and hadn't followed instructions if I was out. Its always them when it goes wrong

Berriewood are the best place to purchase Orijen. Have been using them for years and never had a problem. The delivery always comes when it says it will. They use DPD who will email you telling you the day for delivery and will give you an hour slot on the day (you can even track your delivery online and see exactly where the driver is and what number they are on). If I order on a Monday evening my delivery will come on the Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. Free delivery too!

They've never let me down even when I've left ordering so late that I'm at the very bottom of the bag, have never run out of food. They do price match Orijen too but I've always found them the cheapest to begin with.

You are right.   A brief search of Plymouth, Launceston and even Okehampton came up empty+ (via the Orijen website).   Can you try Zooplus (online) which is where I get my food (Arden Grange) from and it usually comes in fast.   They might be able to get you supplied quickly.
