Are you an owner of this mix?  What advice could you give me?  Reading KC description of a Husky worried me but do you think with GSD mix would be a good thing?

I don't own one but I would say there's no guarantee what mix of traits you'll get, it seldom goes 50/50.
You may get a dog who shows hardly any Husky traits at all, or one who shows most if not all.
You may get a dog with the looks of a Husky and the trainability of a GSD, or one with the guarding instinct of the GSD and the independence of the Husky.
It really is a lottery.

As above.  I have known a fair few of this mix and it is a complete lottery.  Some have been absolutely lovely, very gentle, sensible dogs and eminently trainable but on the flipside, I know two brothers who are nothing short of uncontrollable - the energy of a super high drive working dog, VERY strong, basically crazy.  They are raced alongside huskies, and it takes two people to hold each dog on the way up to the starting line.  That is pretty much the same all the time - the owner can just about walk them in headcollars but only just.  Last time I saw them run with no other dogs, the owner came very close to flying off the back of her rig with the force of their pull as they shot off the starting line!  More husky in terms of personality/breed traits but more GSD in looks.

Most seem to err towards the more sensible side but it is still a gamble.

I have met many and the primitive traits of the husky will be uppermost in nearly all cases.

I fostered a Husky x elkhound (my breed) and there was no comparison, she was like one of ours on speed, and would not have suited someone looking for or used to one of ours

If you couldn't deal with husky traits then its a definite no.  In adition you might have to deal with guarding traits 5that the sibe doesn't usually have..
