Planning a trip to memphis in October and have been monitoring prices. In last few weeks they have risen on average by £150. Does anyone know if this is likely to rise further or maybe drop down again. Thanks

We're heading into peak season so they will rise - I imagine they will drop again, probably in September.

Not only will they continue to rise, but I think prices stay high until into November (may not be the case for your destination, but certainly for NY)--I paid over £800 for a flight to NY for my son last summer and was horrified at how expensive peak season is. Book as early as you can and shop around--good luck and enjoy your holiday!

You may find you can get some very last minute deals f you are prepared to wait. I've just booked in the last week a flight which is slightly less than normal price. It's very hit and miss though.

I go to Canada twice a year because my daughter lives there. I have learnt that if you wait till the last minute you may save but I usually book the dates that suit me and then relax and look forward to it.

Thanks all. I have now gone ahead and booked it as price kept fluctuating :-)

Im in this predicament!

We are flying to Colorado in January, we wanted to book the flights in the January sales but they only list flights like 314 days in advance so missed out! Since then I've been checking every week and seem to have forgotten if they are going up or down! Haha.

I have an ex-pilot friend who tells me the best time to buy is July/September as people arnt looking for last minute summer holidays, and BA usually have a sale around that time. Fingers crossed they do otherwise I'll be forking out a lot more than if we had brought them back in March!

Once I decided to go with KLM I messaged them via their Facebook page.Thet got straight back to me and asked for info about what I exactly wanted and then came up with a good price. Sent me a link to book it and all done so easily. I was really impressed as it saved a lot of hassle and form filling that way.
