Has any one bought this off the internet ? I have had it off the vet but it was very expensive .Thanks in advance

Yes I normally buy it from Vet-Medic.

The reason I ask is my Border pup 6months old has the odd bout of looseness I feed him on Vets kitchen puppy food with a spoonful of butchers tripe .He tends to eat grass when out ,otherwise he seems to eat well treats are Harringtons

How often does it happen ?

When my younger dog had a bout of nasty diarrhoea recently (very unlike him), I bought some ProKolin from a nearby pharmacy that stocks some animal products. Cost me £14 and didn't do a thing! The vet recommended Yumpro Bio Plus, which was a much more reasonable £6, and it dorted him out within 24 hours.

Every 4 or 5 weeks seems ok for a while then we have a really loose day, most days he's hard but on a few occasions he goes slightly soft but today he had the runs 1st thing seems to have gone more solid now 

Even less expensive (afraid I'm penny pinching) use Kaolin & morph with probiotic yoghurt, which has been O.K'd by their vet.

I always stock Pro kolin, won't be without it.  I buy from hyperdrug.

If it's OK'd by the vet then that's fine, although the probiotics work in a different way, more in synch with the animals' own system. I was once told by as lay person I could use Loperamide on a dog with the runs - then found out later it is NOT to be used on any breeds which may have the MDR1 gene

Understanding of the way the digestive system works has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years. I'm grateful my vet did NOT give AB's. but just gave me the Yumpro Plus Bio Active. So, just the consult fee and £6 for the probiotic.... which was worth it to know I can buy that over the counter (cheaper online) and keep in my medicine box. I guess all dogs are different, but the ProKolin didn't work on mine and I won't try it again.
