Would appreciate som e advice on how to stop a four and a half month old retriever bitch pup widdling in excitement every time anyone calls or when she is played with. She is clean at night and is super in every other way. Wil she grow out of it?

In all probability I would say yes, and as you probably know the best thing is to be very calm when it happens and just ignore it. However if you are concerend i would also take a visit to the vet, especially if it gets worse.

Hi there
My retriever bitch would wee with excitement when
greeting people (including us on returning home).
When playing games she would suddenly stop, dink
her bottom down for a very quick one, then just carry
on with what we were doing.
She grew out of this at about 7 or 8 months so don't
worry that your house training isn't working.
Perhaps your girl is submissive like mine was but as
they get older their confidence builds up.
Hope this helps.
