My girl (first litter) is on day 59. She has stopped eating, has has a slight mucous discharge and has had runny poos today. She has been sleeping almost non stop. Puppies active but am a bit concerned about the sleeping. Her mum has always delivered early so am expecting her to do the same. Anyone else experienced sleepy mums to be?

Sounds to me that she knows that she is going to be working very hard soon. Personally I would think she is being a sensible girl. And runny poos sounds as if she is clearing out ready. Unless I suspected that she was ill, I don't think that I would be too concerned. I assume that the mucous is normal and no bad smell.
My girl is the same day shes sleeping alot too no discharge or any other signs she was sick and had a clear out afew days ago and is being fussy what she will eat i saw a very small amount of mucus but nothing since shes very different to my my other girls .....im geting very inpatient now lol good luck you will be anouther that will go before my girl lol :/

Thanks for your replies. First girl in my experience that this has happened. Checked by the vet on Weds last week and no problems. As an experienced breeder you would think that I would know better.
Same but somtimes thi gs can be so different and im always over analysing eveything! :/

Same here White Lily, my vet thinks I am paranoid. Fine today, she has had some chicken and rice and much more settled.
