Hi guys

Can anyone recommend a shampoo/conditioner/sprays etc for a newfoundland?

When grooming a Newf after washing I spray the coat with "the Stuff" which is a type of silicon spray and work that in to the wet coat. It is great for detangling. I find that using a blaster dryer the knots just blow out in most cases. Leaves the coat lovely and soft.

Thanks smithy, I'm a . Dog groomer but never done a newf before so want to make sure I've got a decent shampoo etc for her so I can start as she's young to try and keep her coat in excellent condition.  I use a product called amazing trix which is fab for detangling but will have a look at the stuff too. I did ask at crufts which shampoo etc people used but obviously they weren't really forth comming ha ha

My friend is a groomer & Newfie breeder & uses a shampoo from the Mutneys range. A Newfs coat is waterproof so getting the coat wet down to the skin then lathered up can be time consuming so make sure you charge for the job!
