The poor things had to have a few short walks the last couple of days coz they don't like rain. (45 mins) so this afternoon they were being a bit hyper. I decided to put them in the car and go to the country park, my boy was waiting at the top of the hill until I got to the bottom then bombing down at full pelt to catch me up. As I'm walking round with the poo bag in my hand he's running up behind me leaping off the ground and grabbing it out of my hand by the time I got to the bin I'd re bagged twice. One and a half hours later we get home and there straight in the toy box shaking the life out the poor teddy and tugging arms and legs in all directions. I give up.

Mine have days like this.
I scatter feed their dinner, and often "pit" them against each other in a skills match - sit down with a bowl of tiny treats in lieu of dinner, and ask for Sit/Down/Paw/Spin etc and the fastest dog gets it - its easy to manipulate for each dogs strengths and weaknesses and gets them thinking which usually (but not always!) resorts in 3 passed out collies for a bit :D

Yeah that sounds a good idea for when it's raining and we can't get out. The training will do them good we managed to get 2 long walks in today they've had there dinner now there snoozing bliss.

I didn't realize pugs were or can be such bouncy dogs. Will you live and learn :)

Perhaps no ones told mine there pugs lol the amount of people I've met that have bought pugs and say there to lively and can't cope with them is unbelievable.

The pug couch potato story is a myth. My girl after a good walk wont stop. Others have a sleep and lay down. She still wonders round. Luckily shes calmed with age and we only have the one!

I know someone who competes in agility with all her pugs.  They are certainly a lot more lively and agile than I´d ever realised.

Laure and her "Flying Pugs" live in Mallorca but she was at the Worlds Agility in the Bristol area a year or so ago. Not sure if I´m allowed to post this link here but she´s not a breeder so hope it´s OK.  http://www.theflyingpugs.com/  Apologies if this is not allowed.  Please let me know politely if it´s not.

A member on here has very close links to pugs who compete in agility regularly and with great success :-)
