Hi I had my bitch tested with Idexx yesterday morning results were 22.9 I am travelling to stud tomorrow....will it be too late? Thanks

Did they not advise you on when is a good time to mate her?
I don't think it will be too late, pretty spot on I would say but I'm not an expert.

They said today....but my bitch results had shot up and we were expecting the weekend. Its a 6hr drive to the stud and I had no chance of leaving this afternoon so i asked if tomorrow would be ok and the lady said I may be pushing it. I will go as this is my last chance with my bitch but just wondered what you guys thought :)

0-2  nmol/L           Baseline concentrations too early to estimate ovulation 
3 - 6 nmol /L        Minimum 2 days before ovulation expected however result of 3 - 4 nmol/L may persist for a week or longer before increasing. Earliiest estimating breeding 4 - 6 days but could be longer (re test needed)
7 - 12 nmol/L   Minimum 1 day before ovulation. Estimated window for breeding 3 - 5 days but could be longer  ( re test recommended) 
13 - 18 nmol/L   Ovulation impending or just occurred. Estimated breeding window 2 - 4 days  
19 - 31 nmol/L   Ovulation recently occurred. Estimated breeding window 1 - 3 days
32 - 64 nmol/L   Ova have matured, optimal potential for fertility.  Estimated breeding window  0 - 2 days
65 - 90 nmol/L   Ova have matured but aging, decreased potential for fertility.  Breed  at once
Above 90 nmol/L    Too late 

Hi thanks for that...i too thought today was ok but the lady i spoke with (I normally speak with larry) put some doubt in my mind. Travelled first thing this morning and got a good mate so now I will hold my breath.

Similar to our situation 3 weeks ago - bloods Wednesday 24.3 mated Thursday at midnight ....

No im not doing another mating as the lady from Idexx said the weekend would be too late.

We had a bitch coming to us for stud Monday test came back tuesday with 10.4 she said go Wednesday to stud, i questioned that to be a little early so asked the bitches owner to call back and ask for Larry, he said Weds too early go Friday and Sunday.
She came friday, Mated 15 min tie and she is back later today!

I have had that lady before I remember she told me to leave that day to go to stud, i asked for larry to call me and he said tomorrow and day after tomrrow! we had  beautiful pups!

My bitch missed :( she would be 39 days from mating and no signs at all!! :(

Took my bitch to vets today as last night she doubled in size and this morning started to loose bloody puss from her vulva. Vet confirmed she has dead puppies inside her and pyometra :( she has started treatment to expel the dead puppies.....my poor girl :(

Awful news - hope all goes well and she is back to full fitness soon xxx
