They have said to still try tonight but she didnt let our boy near her???? Surly shes missed now and no litter will come from this help????

Day 16 110 was her result at 10 this morning they was told to give it one last try and after 5days of trying they got a slip mateing took place he did the laddering and after he got off he was looseing afew drips and was fully out this is truly going to be a long 4 weeks for the owners of the bitch.....has anyone had this a slip and late mating from your dogs and pups at the end of it???

what day is she on now? 
I had a visiting bitch not ready until day 20......7 puppies and my own bitch had 1 mating day 21....7 puppies....they were ties though not slips but just saying that they can be very late, sometimes they slip when they are just not quite there and another 24 hrs can make all the difference.

re slips I have had a litter from a slip but was only one puppy and sadly that didn't make it :(

110 nmol (?) is way over.  Was the slip today ie same day as the 110nmol reading?  The repro vet I use says that as long as you can pinpoint ovulation and mate 2/3 days later it doesn't matter how quickly the levels rise after ovulation.  I wouldn't be hopeful on that figure with a tie even.  Please keep us updated, it will be interesting to know what happens.

Yes today same day as 110 reading weve all said tues was the day, the bitch was a very domanent girl and no way was we forceing it i just wish the bitch was tested Tuesday so no chance of any eggs now?x

Well never say never because as we all know things don't always work out even with the perfect circumstances.  I'd be really surprised if she caught on that level though.  I can remember a post on here some time ago, I think the bitch was mated getting on towards 100 nmol and she took, think that is exceptional though.  I really hope she does take, I've been through several misses with my girls and its so disappointing.  However, there's always next time.  It could be worth letting them get to know each other a bit before she even comes into season next time?  The bitch may be happier if she has got to know your boy in advance?

That gives me hope :) yes i wish we had let them meet before as our boy dont mate if the smell isnt ther thats why when he got on we was shocked but would explane if it could be possible....they have 2males and this girl wanted 1of them all the signs told us she was ready tues but she wouldnt let our boy near her but last night its was as if he knew now or never because she was growling and sitting like she had been he kept telling her off her being very dominant id never seen him act like this hes such a gentleman and has only ever mated madon girls and never missed ...we had them come and hes not been very interested 2days later hes kissing flirting and a tie within 10mins ...so for him to try and then have a slip mateing i was shocked and after how she has been with him over 5days then to allow him i just wish the bitch had been tested tues day 14 we dont force a mateing and not knowing where she was in her ovulation no way wasnt going to start now as weve had a girl mate day 27 :)x thankyou il ring her and tell her what you said :)
