My bitch has puppies 4 weeks old. They are part weaned and she varies how much she goes in with them. But I am surprised she is still cleaning up after them.
Is this normal? I am sure mostly my Mums have stopped at about 3 weeks. Other than that everything is going well.

Attentive mother.

My pups are 4 weeks old today and I have never had to clean up after them yet.  I'd say it's the norm for my bitches.

Nope mine continue right until they leave if they go indoors, (very clean breed), though once they are going outside I usually beat them to it.

If allowed I think they'd continue to do it far longer than would be good for them, and might become to much a  habit.

The books d say they generally stop doing it automatically once pups on solids, but it's never been my expereince.

That is what I was thinking but perhaps as they are not fully weaned yet she will continue to do so for the minute. Ive just never had one go this long.

It took months to persuade Ellie to stop cleaning up after Hetty, she's never been a poo eater but I had to be fast to get there first! She still cleans her when she is in season, but she doesn't do this with my other youngster, just her own daughter. :-p

My bitch  refused point blank to clean up after her puppies from day 1, so I had to do it! She was a great Mum otherwise, she was just happy for me to do her dirty work for her lol.

I have a breed that doesn't leave home until pups are 12 weeks, and I have to clean up fast before mum gets to it.

I have pups that are now over 6 weeks old and mum is still happy to clean up after them!  I don't like her doing it at this age so try and beat her to it, but my other girls are happy to clean up too - it must look quite comical a rush to get to the poo first!  I normally find that mum stops cleaning up after the remainder of the litter has gone and our pup is on her own with the girls.
