And I'll lay odds you still watch her right up to the end of what should have been a pregnancy ..... LOL!!

It's so disappointing isn't it? I had my girl scanned on day 30 and we could only see 1 puppy! She is now 7 weeks and really doesn't look as if she's having anything! Last time I had a singleton from a different girl, she needed a caesarean so worrying myself silly!

Was it an experienced scanner? Most that don't do it day in and day out would say to scan at 32-35 days.

hi she said shes scanned 200 plus dogs she came to the house tbf was hard ss my girl didnt like standing still but she was quite sure not pregnant

Such a shame, feel for you.

My Vet didn't want to scan until 35 days, so if your gut is telling you she is pregnant it may be worth another look in a few days.

we did think she was she was very clingy the first few weeks and her vulva still slightly swollen but the last few days she seems more like her old self

Mine too, scanned at 6 1/2 weeks as she had gone flat showed al pregancn3ey signs to 5 plus weeks, and then  didn't continue to expand.

Scan showed empty sacks of absorbed pups.

Really sorry for both of you. I must say I have heard of an unusual large number of bitches ending up with no pups so far this year.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 26.02.14 14:25 UTC
The scanning lady said the same, lots of empty bitches and singletons.

Reading this and similar threads about absorbed pups and having no experience in this, I was wondering why it happens. Has their been much research on this? Just curious.

I had one miss last year and my scanner also said over 75% she scanned had all missed. I wonder why?

awwww :( when we got the scan she said she doesnt usually scan until day 35, we were on day 33 and there was not much to see but she did confirm a pregnancy. perhaps you could scan again in 1week?
