Could anyone tell me if after a litter of pups{ kc reg},have been sold, could you stop one of the new owners breeding from there dog,if one of its litter mates had an auto immune disease which could be hereditary.Would the kennel club be able to refuse to reg a litter if the original breeder tipped them off?

Hi Guest,
In answer to your question..No not really, the endorsements which you can put on the KC registration ie; progeny not to be registered/not for export...have to be in place at the time of sale and have to be made clear in writing to the new owner, and even then it's a bit dodgy.
The only thing to do really is contact the puppy owners and explain the circumstances with one of the litter and ask them to be responsible..but it's up to the new owner wether they listen to you or not I'm afraid. Sorry...

Tracey :)

I think not.
The Kennel Club are only registering the pups.
Wish they would get more involved but that would cost them money
