Topic Dog Boards / Health / Hepatic tumour?
- By Snoop Date 03.02.14 13:29 UTC
Hello, I've not posted for a while so I hope you don't mind me asking...

My dog has a lump on his anal sphincter. The vet took a sample from it and said he thinks it is a hepatic tumour which will be removed asap. I've just googled it and everything I've read talks about tumours on the liver. Did I mishear the vet? I was on my mobile so quite possible.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Snoop,

I think you must have misheard as you're right, hepatic is to do with the liver. Unfortunately I have no idea what the word could have been.  I hope all goes well with the op.

Thanks Setterlover. My husband picked him up from the vets so I'm still none the wiser, but it has been removed and he seems happy enough. Thanks for replying :)
