I have two Wiemeraners one has pink itchy ears the other one has no problems  We allow the dogs to run in our camp site field which has rabbits and maybe foxes as we live next to a farmers field. The field is  sprayed during the summer and treat with sillage spray.  We have tried creams from the vets but with little success.

What are you feeding them? Itchy ears are often a sign of food intolerance or allergy, which could be why only one is affected.

I have heard really good things about thornit powder for ears.

Try thornit. My cocker had hundreds of pounds spent on his ears. I used thornit and he hasn't been back to vets since. :)
You get it off eBay.

Another recommendation here for Thornit, one of those rare products that really does work.

Yep, Thornit is amazing stuff.  A tip - if he scratches his ears a lot, put a little Thornit in a small bag (freezer/sandwich bags work well), hold it over each foot and shake it up.  Ear infections can be very easily maintained by the offending microbes being spread via the feet - the ears clear up, the dog scratches one one day and bingo, back to square one.  Took me months to get on top of my old girl's years-old ear and chin infections when I got her until I twigged what was happening and did both ears, her chin and all four feet with the Thornit - stopped it within a couple of weeks.

I started using Thornit about 6 years ago, thanks to this forum- prior to this I had used all the usual remedies from my vet for one of my flatcoats- without success. Thornit quickly sorted hers and I use it regularly to keep their ears free of irritation.

I have used it on my current golden from when she arrived as an 8 week old pup - just a tiny pinch in each ear on a monthly basis- and she has never had even a slight sign of irritation. She is now 5 yrs 7 mths. I really wish I had known about it many years ago! Agree it is helpful to do feet and chins. Brilliant stuff  :)
