My girl is due her pups 2 weeks on tuesday.
As soon as I had her scanned I ordered my whelping box. The web site states shipped in 10 days so I knew it would arrive in plenty of time.
That was 17 days ago and I am now freaking out.
I emailed them today and they have said it "should" arrive this week but as it must be coming by courier how do they not know for sure???
What on earth am I going to do if it doesn't arrive???
I can't realistically order another one from else where as I have already spent a small fortune on the one I ordered thats meant to be here. I could order a disposable cardboard type one but I ordered the pvc one for so many reasons I know I will never be happy with the cardboard one but I cant really not have anything for my girl.
I am rambling now.......getting very stressed about it.

If they've already dispatched it they should be able to provide you with a tracking number.

I've only used a whelping box (home made) for my last 2 litters. Bitches don't care where they have their pups, so long as they are somewhere safe and cosy. In fact my last litter were born in mums normal bed, and she hated the whelping box and was rarely in it, even as the pups grew. She only stayed long enough to feed them, then started moving them back into my bedroom where her normal bed was, so I ended up having them in my room until they were old enough to see and move about which is when they ended up in the whelping box and puppy pen :-)

In other words, stop panicking :-) She may not like the nice brand new whelping box anyway.

I've heard of some people using a children's paddling pool to begin with, though I suppose it depends on the size of your breed.

I assume you have puppy panels, If you have a large piece of lino cut off, or heavy duty plastic/tarp you can do what I do and use 4 panels one with a gate to make the side and put one across the top for rigidity.

This will enable you to drape a blanket over the top to make a den.

I then tie cardboard all the way around up the sides, at least 12 inches high.

I use a heat pad, shredded paper and vetbed.

Did you get your whelping box ordered one too and still waiting.

Hi. It arrived 4 weeks after I ordered it - it came the day before the pups did. I also ordered an attachable run at the same time which was delivered a few days ago which was 7 weeks from when I ordered it.
The whelping box is great but the stress and delivery time was not. I won't need another one but would not order from the same place again.
It took a load of phone calls and emails to get it sorted.

who did you order from? I need a new whelping box so it would be good to know who to avoid

Can you advise which company you got your products from so we can all avoid as I will need to purchase one I hope very soon too :-)

I wonder if it was the same one that messed me about too.
