We would love to find a bouvier des flandres puppy to raise in our home. We have very suitable space both inside and out for this fine dog, which seems to be a good match for us. Looking for a breeder in the U.S., midwest region would be perfect. Also interested in Hovawarts. Reputable breeders please drop Tim & Joan a line at www.agtich@aol.com.

As far as I am aware there are no Hovies in America but I could be wrong. If you have a look at this site, this is the person who introduced them to the UK and she will be able to advise you.

We had always wanted a large hairy dog and when we started looking last year the Bouvier was on our short list even though we had set our minds on an OES we thought we ought to look around!

Well I came across an article written buy a lady called Pam Green entoitled "Dont buy a Bouvier if "
by the time I had read all 8 pages I had to try very hard to convince myself we were able to cope with this breed, I failed to do so 100% so we went back to our original choice of an OES ! and he is big enough for us!

A Link to the article is here:

apologies if you have already read the article but I do think it helps to make sure you are looking in the right direction

I was totally entranced by the article especially as we were "thinking " of one, and it certainly helped us decide to stick with our first choice and not go for one, the breed is lovely but the article convinced me as novice owners we would not of coped...oh that and the flatulence problem!!!!
