Can anyone recommend a secluded/quiet cottage near beach for a weekend break. Any area considered as long as quiet arae, thanks

Iknow someone who has stayed here - in West Sussex. Dog friendly and private beach 5 minutes walk from the cottage. She has booked it again for next year already. She has 3 dogs soon to be four.

Johnshaven, South Aberdeenshire

We've stayed here and can vouch for the very good dog walking in the area.  You are also likely to see seals just outside the door and some very interesting sea birds if you are interested.  We'd definitely book it again :)

You are in a small village but up one end with off lead walks just a few hundred yards from the door...

Bromans Barn is available - haven't stayed in this one myself (although have it on my list), but have stayed in various others with Grove Cottages and all have been superb. They are fabulous at having recommendations for walks/food, etc. in the cottages too.

How about Cornwall, we stayed in a cottage by the King Harry ferry near Falmouth a couple of years back which was nice. Or there's some nice ones on the IOW too!

How about north Devon? That early should be quiet, we stay every year at Allender Farm nr Ilfracombe. Its a 20min walk to Lee bay or 5min drive, or just round the corner from Woolacombe (3mile beach) Busy in summer but like I said that early will prob be quiet
