I need to get a dog guard and wonder if anyone can recommend an easy fitting one that would fix on the front headrests?  I've looked at a Mont Blanc universal dog guard and a Saunders wiremesh dog guard - have any of you had any experience of them?  My big dogs won't try to come forward so it is just for safety for them/me, but I also have a youngster who is outgrowing her car crate and may well try to force her way through!

Thanks! :)

I have the same issue--a friend recommended one she'd bought from Halfords, she seems happy with it http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/categorydisplay_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_categoryId_165716_langId_-1

I ended up opting for a cargo net, which gets some funny looks as it stays in even with the seats up and people in the back.

I have a Saunders behind the back seats. Very easy to fit - and I am a car novice!

It's getting a guard to fit behind the FRONT seats that seems to be a challenge.

Yes...  I am left wondering if there is actually any universal guard that is designed to fit behind front seats.

Thank you.  The Halfords Advanced Mesh Headrest dog guard says it fits behind front or rear seats - maybe I'll give it a go; it's massively reduced at the moment too!

I use travall, easy fit and very secure.

Will it fit with covers over the headrests?  I have front seat covers that go over the headrests.

Hhmm not sure about that, they are quite expensive to buy if they don't too, their custom rubber boot mats are brilliant too, saved my car many times and the Spitz prefer to lie on it instead of blankets lol.if you ring them though they are incredibly helpful.

As an update, I've just bought the Halfords one.  It was reduced to £39.99 and I got another £5 off for complaining (I'd ordered to collect yesterday but when I drove to the store it wasn't there and I had to go back today).  It could do with being deeper as there is a gap above it but I think it will be OK - my car roof is quite high (Citroen Xsara Picasso).
