Hi does anyone have this book?  I keep hearing good things about it and wonder if it's worth it for a few new ideas - leeks instead of pasta in lasagne for instance...  I did see some of the series and their food looked quite impressive

In the meantime could you tell me the recipe and method for their flapjacks please?  I can't find their exact one on the net anywhere as most people seem to have tweaked it!  Apparently they don't add processed sugar or fat - they use fruit juice and maple syrup

Many thanks

I've got the book Dogs a babe and we have used it a bit, I'm awful about following recipes and make my own bits up or just keeping giving us the same old things. Hubbies better at trying something new. Anyway like the book, it has some nice things in it that are like the more fattening versions but taste good too.

The flapjacks are called 'chewy cranberry and apricot bites'. Perhaps if you google that you may come up with the recipe, otherwise I could send it to you if we can arrange a way rather  then me typing it all out (we have a scanner)

Brilliant, brilliant thank you.  So not called flapjacks at all then!!

Reading through their recipe I can see exactly why some people have tweaked it - this is one such amended one which leaves out the need to toast your own almonds (life is def too short for that)

Thanks again
