Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Worming puppies

My pups are 3 weeks old and over the weekend I've wormed them with Panacur paste as per my usual routine.  The Mum has been wormed at the same time. Now I don't know if its lack of sleep or me having a senior moment (well it is my birthday) but I don't remember any litter having the squits since worming as bad as this lot. The pups are still perky and keen to nurse, they seem hungry and are taking a little solid food and I'm keeping a careful eye on them. I've upped Mums rations and she's eating well but maybe her diet is too rich?

It is quite usual for worming (with any product) to cause some degree of intestinal upset/looseness.

I do the same, I think the bitch needs all the help she can get at this time.  I'm sure that it isn't the richness of food.

Happy Birthday.  :-)
