My 13 week old GSD has for the past 2 weeks had both his ears erect, but over the last 2 days his right ear has become floppy again. All my other GSD's have never had this problem, once their ears were up they stayed up. Has anyone else seen this happen?

It is very common for GSD ears to go all shapes at this age, sometimes while they are teething the ears do drop, as the ears have already been up, I shouldnt worry too much.

Thank you Charm for your quick response. Have been getting a bit worried, as he looked a little charmer in earlier in the week, but now looks like his ear has been broke poor little thing.

I have a puppy dog of 15 weeks, his ears were up for a while, then they crossed over his head, now he looks like he is an aeroplane on his head:o, but if you look in his mouth, his baby teeth are falling out, now his sister has hers up beautifully, so it just depends on the pup. Dont worry he will be fine.

My sister and I are always laughing about the times when Sophie's ears were floppy, she looked soooo sweet!!!!
I remember someone giving me advice to give her loads of chew toys, and as her jaws get stronger her ears will start to go up again. I took that advice and we never had a problem. The only other time that the ears go floppy again is when they are teething!!!!
I remember the day when I found a tooth on the floor and her , with her floppy ears (again!). I thought I had a deffective dog!!!!!!!!!!!!hahahaha :)

Josh- when my friends Rottie was losing her teeth- she packed them all away neatly thinking they were pieces of her Son's *Operation* game:o :D :D Personally I didn't do anything that daft but I can remember the first one she lost- I was playing with her using the bite roll and all of a sudden the tooth landed on the floor- I thought I must have yanked it out rather than it had fell out- I felt so guilty:D :D :D
