Is there anyone who could give me a lift (share petrol) to the South West Hound Club Open Show that is being held in conjunction with the West Country Game Fair, on Saturday 15th March?

Tickets for entry to the game fair are given for each dog entered, and I was thinking of entering two, so there would be a spare ticket.

I really wanted to support the breed classes, as several o9f the usual supporters and dogs will be in Ireland!

I live in Bristol, about 10 minutes from Junction 1 of the M32. My girls are good travellers, and friendly with all other dogs.

I am pretty non dangerous, though I do talk too much. :D

Hi, I can't offer you a lift to the show this time but maybe in the future when Marley the Pharaoh is old enough, I do intend on doing a little bit of showing with him, I live about 10 minutes from cribbs causeway so it wouldn't take me very long to get to yours.

Well I am not too far in the Staple Hill end of Fishponds! The game fair is very6 interesting, and for husbans or wives that get bored at a show, gives something of interest to see and do.

Last year there were al sorts, Gundog Scurries, Terrier racing, a talk on different breeds of hound, for which one of my freinds got nabbed to show our breed while the person on the mikle described how they hunt!

Must say I do enjoy7 it when an Open show runs along side something else! Take4s me back to when I showed Rabbits, and a lot of the shows were run in conjunction with Agricultural shows. this used to be the case with dog shows, but is less and less these days. Maybe now that the Kennel Club have removed the requirement for Wet Weather rings the Agricultural Societies will put the dog shows back on under their umbrella!
