I'm thinking of getting some photo print mugs done as xmas presents this year. I'd like the mugs to be reasonably nice quality and of course, good value :-) Can anyone recommend (or anti-recommend!) a tried and tested website? I've google searched but there are so many to choose from.
thanks!

I've just ordered one from Truprint yesterday, and I have ordered a lot of items from them over the years, such as all my Christmas cards, mousemats and similar. There are cheaper places but I found often you get poorer quality then. The mug I ordered from Truprint (photo and text) was £7.99 plus p+p but if you order before the 1st of December and use the discount code NOVGIFT13 when checking out you get 50 % off the price of mugs. http://www.truprint.co.uk

A thanks from me for that reply, what a good idea, off to look at Truprint right away.

I've also bought some glass coasters which can have a photograph put between the two layers of glass.

I've had some from snapfish this year and im really pleased with them :) I had the collage style so could choose lots of pics for each one :D The quality is fab and they were very reasonably priced.

A friend got some from Photobox last year. Quality very good, however, I don't know how they fared after several months of going through the dishwasher! I'll be interested to read responses to your post as I'd also like to get some mugs done ... also like to know how the print does with dishwashing :)

Just to add, Snapfish and Truprint are part of the same company (or it may be that Snapfish owns Truprint) so have the same products.

thanks, that's a great deal! now wondering just how many people I can give mugs to for xmas...............................

re the other poster's q re durability; I've had them given to me and the dishwasher will fade the picture over time, hand wash is better if you really want it to last. That said I've found the same with most patterned mugs, in the end they will all lose it in the DW. (years in some cases though so i tend to just chuck em in anyhow)

I got brilliant photo mugs done last year from sainsburys. Cant remember how much i paid but it couldnt have been much as it was just a little gift to someone from my daughter. The photos still look good on them even after a year of microwaving washing etc. Would highly recommend them.
