Hi everybody. Not sure if Ive got a problem or not,so I thought Id ask you kind people what you think. In september my collie Jess and I went to newquay for a weeks holiday.Jess loves the sea,and her coat settled into a parting down her back after its many dousings in sea water. It actually looked lovely! But since we got home, though the parting is still there, the fur on her sides has gone fluffy, and sticks out!Ive just tried wetting it to make it lie flat-but of course, then she shook, back to square one!Im not bothered about how it looks, just concerned it may be something medical, though what,I dont know!Any ideas, have I got a problem?thankyou!

Shampoo her and use a dog conditioner after.  It stopped the sticking out look on my Beardie.

ok,thanks jean,i ll do that.Im not too worried about how she looks, but Id heard a "staring "coat could be a sign of illness, mind, she s fit as a flea.spose if I bath her and it goes back to normal,I ll have one less thing to worry about!thank again for reply!
