Hello. I am new to this board. I am the very proud owner of a 12 and a half year old westie. Today he has been diagnosed with a liver function problem. He is due to start medication tomorrow. I am looking for advice on what I should and should not feed him. I have read that copper should be reduced so have ordered some bottled water, and that chicken is the best for him. Does anyone have any other dietary advice? Many many thanks. I hope I have posted this in the correct board!
Milk thistle, available from Dorwest herbs (and other places) is a good liver support, but please check with your vet first to ensure it's not contra-indicated with his particular medication.

What kind of liver disease does he have? Has the vet given it a name?
