Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Anyone raised a litter on Simpsons Premium Chicken?

Hi, Just wondering if anyone's raised a litter on Simpsons Premium Chicken and Rice Puppy food, and what the verdict is?

I'm using their Salmon & Potato Adult and am extremely pleased with it. I've previously used Arden Grange Puppy food with no problems, but thought I'd like to give the Simpsons a go. Thanks for any feedback :-)

Having fed my puppies for years on a very well known complete food I found their "new improved" version constantly gave my pups cow pat consistency toilet. After trying a couple of other brands I settled on Simpsons Salmon and Potato Puppy with great success. I am now feeding my adults on Simpsons Salmon and Potato and have to say it is quite the best I've ever come across. Not overpriced for the quality of the food and very prompt delivery as well.

Thanks for that. I too prefer Simpsons Salmon & Potato to another well known brand that replaced salmon with pea flour :O

Will be using the Salmon Puppy but also alongside the chicken and rice - not everyone will want to pay that bit extra for the salmon puppy. So, really wanting feedback about the Simpsons Chicken & Rice puppy, specially in comparison to AG :-D

It seems that pea flour addition caused a lot of problems. I mainly went for the Simpsons Salmon and Potato Puppy because from the products info it can be fed to a range of dogs, not just puppies. I've never used AG but will try the Simpsons Chicken and Rice when I have a litter. So will give you feedback next year!

Yes no problems, use the lamb and rice for adults.

I had a lot of trouble, an ill bitch, and lost a pup in first days using the altered recipe with the Pea flour from my last litter.  Used the Simpsons after that.

my nursing bitch is on simpsons chicken puppy food, and she is doing very well on it. No loose stools and she cleans the bowl.
