Just wanted to ask people who have used the ovulation pads, for some advice.
Just done a test this morning and the pad has changed colour, showing ovulation has started. According to the information with the pads is says that I should wait till ovulation has finished for the eggs to be most sperm friendly.
Just getting a little panicky now, about when to visit the stud dog and need to let the owners now when to expect us.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Both parents are fully Health tested, good examples of the breed and have their stud book number.

Anyone ??? On Day 12  flow has changed today to a straw colour. Should I arrange for tomorrow ?

I have used them in the past successfully, the instructions must have changed because back then it said as soon as wine colour shows even a small amount wait 48 hrs and take the bitch to the stud, the eggs are all released together, you are then waiting for them to ripen so the sperm can penetrate them.

Thanks Rhodach, we are going to try tomorrow, which will be day 13/14  and see how it goes. Will be more like 38 hours from the first sign of purple colour, but hope that will be OK.
Was going to go back for a second mating 48 hrs  so that would be Sunday. 
Is a second mating desirable if you can do it ? Not bred a lot, and my last litter with this dogs mother, I just did one
mating.

I have always done 2 mating 48 hrs apart just to be sure.
