Topic Dog Boards / General / Recommended groomers central Scotland

I know that it is a long shot but can anyone recommend a dog groomer in central Scotland, preferably near Stirling?

Someone that you have used before, or know, who is reasonably priced and cares about the dog.

Am currently using a "commercial" shop groomers and I am not overly happy. My big girl goes there and my last old boy went there and my pup will soon need a wash and brush up to get him used to the grooming experience. They behave as if they are doing us the favour, charge very well for the privilege and although they do an OK job, there are always bits that are missed. My big girl is getting on in years and cannot stand for as long as she used to and despite me asking them to give her breaks, she always comes back limping and stiff for several days afterwards.

I have Briards and brush/comb them thoroughly myself 4 or 5 times a week, the coats are never knotted and are in good condition. I have them kept short during the Winter/when they are getting on in years and I put them into the groomers every 6/8 weeks. I have told the shop about my worries but despite them saying they will do a better job next time, they never do.

I would like to find a groomer with the personal touch who loves their job :-) Any recommendations would be very much appreciated or a pointer as to where I can find a good one. So far I have searched all the local directories on google and spoken to a few on the phone but they either can't/won't do Briards or are too far away.

Thank's so much for going to the trouble of doing this for me ;-)

I need my big girl done earlier than November and have managed today to find someone who has just started a new grooming business who can do her tomorrow, but I will take a note of the number as I am always in Falkirk and will pop in to have a chat at some stage.

Thanks again

you are most welcome, have known Lee for years and she is a very talented dog trainer as well so I am sure she would cope fine with your dogs.
