Has anyone got one and they are they worth it? Is it quicker than using hairdryer and does it get a smooth coat? Easy to put on?
I was thinking of maybe trying a stocking (foot end cut off) first to see if this would work at keeping the coat straight!

I do and it's good but he hates it. Measure carefully before ordering too, his is a little short in length and we get some lines if we don't keep adjusting it. I don't use it much in all honesty, he just dislikes it too much so I feel bad for him but I know some dogs don't mind and are fine. It doesn't dry the coat, well mine doesnt, it just keeps it smoother, you need a hair dryer or blowy fresh air too!

So if you left to naturally dry it could take ages and the dog stays wet and damp for ages? Chilly.
Might stick to just using the hairdryer.

I have one and it's brilliant, my dogs aren't particularly keen, but as they are at heart lapdogs, once I have them dry I put the coat on them and go and sit on the sofa, and they are easily persuaded to come and snuggle up for an hour while the coat does it's job, otherwise they do gallop around trying to twist in all directions. Mind you they tend to do that a bit even without the coat! I don't leave it on overnight or while they are unattended though.

I use one and my boy is weird and loves wearing it, goes all wiggly when he sees it. Does a good job of keeping his coat tidy, certainly a better job than I could do with a hair dryer. I put it on after a bath and blow dry him.

I have one and love it. My girl doesn't mind wearing it at all, in fact as soon as she sees it she gets quite excited. They are not designed to dry the dog at all, rather you dry them, brush the coat into position then pop the mesh coat on to ensure it stays in position until the coat is totally dry.

Any particular make that is better or is there only one?

drydogcoats from Ann Hall are the ones most people use, they are very good.

Another fan of Ann Hall's mesh coats - she is very helpful too.

I had one from Wagware and it was good, did the job fine, then someone's dog ripped it up and I replaced it with one of Ann Hall's, and the quality is better on that one, though both do the job.

I bought two of these for my dogs. Fortunately the lady who makes them lives not too far away and she measured them up--I can't say I would have trusted myself to do it.

One dog loathes his and tries to walk around wearing it without much success, so I never put it on him. The younger dog is smart enough to know that he can go to sleep on the duvet and wake up nice and relaxed. I don't use it that often, but it does make a difference and would recommend them. We have the 'old' design with flaps for the ears, which the dogs tend to rub off, but there is a new design without this and it's a bit cheaper.
