Iv registered a dog, sent off photocopies of the original import pedigree and the UK kennel club papers have arrived today in the post. Looking at the document half of the dogs that are champions have not been shown as such on the KC doc yet it clearly shows them on the import docs. I know they are champions and some with about 20 odd titles, has anyone come across this before? It's weird as the dam is shown as a champ but the sire isn't and they have the same titles and he got his first.

The KC doesn't record many overseas champion titles for some reason.

That's pants
It's disappointing isn't it!
But there's nothing to stop you putting their titles on your dog's show entries, or your dog's offspring's pedigrees

This is why I much prefer to print my own pedigrees. The KC ones are expensive and pants. I include hip and DNA test results etc on mine.

That sounds like a good idea Brainless - do you use some sort of template ?
When Ive done mine in the past I went back only 3 generations and had pictures of each along with health details - was nice for new owners to see the pics.

Used to hand write them, but since I got computer in 2000 have always done them myself.
Can send you the word blank form.

I always hang the peds on the wall at home, so iv bought a slightly bigger fame and put both the UK and overseas ped in, as the other does include all tiles and health tests. (It's such a shame though as it just doesn't look so good on the wall). One then would assume any pups produced would also not show to have the dogs as champs, that would be hard to explain to a person whom was not aware of that weird KC rule.
