my young dog's white blaze has 2 pink stripes appearing on his white blaze. It appears to be the fur and it looks awful.He doesnt seem to have pink fur anywhere else so cant thik it would be his food ,but should i change it  i am stumped to think what this is

Is it to the roots?    If so, could he be gaining a little colour there?

It can be cured by applying a little Thornit on a cotton bud .....being careful not to get any in the eyes.
It's often a red yeast discolouration and this should cure it.

That's interesting as my boxer has slight discolouration so I'm going to try some on him, of course being careful of the eyes.

Get it down onto the skin if you can.

It will take a little time to grow out but will stop regrowth.

How often do I need to apply it as I don't want to go overboard?! Any ideas? He lets me do it no problem and I can easily get down to the skin.

Assuming the area stays dry, no swimming etc, then Id say one or two applications ( 10 days apart or so) will work. I use very little.
The active ingredients should knock out the yeast straight away, you're just waiting for the coat to come back in white.

can i ask what causes red yeast (pink color to fur) and how do i prevent it coming again once i get rid of this he has now

Its all around and the spores are there whenever there is a opportunity.
Often implicated in red tear staining which is very common but can be over looked in a non white dog. I have an old smelly eyed boxer who's red tear staining isn't as noticeable other than the smell. Wipe a tissue over the area tells a story.
I just wipe hers clean with a product called Kleen Face.
