Topic Dog Boards / General / Dog lights?

We take the dogs for a walk down a private country lane, no lights, and enclosed by hedges. Looks like we will have to lead walk again for the winter now the nights are drawing in.
But did wonder if there were lights (not too expensive) that we could attach to them so we could see them, they are 2 Rottweilers so very easy to lose in the dark!!!
How do you all cope with off lead running in the dark?
Lea :)

I bought some of these two years ago, and they're still going strong, just need batteries replacing every autumn.

They take a while to arrive as they're from China. Just ordered two more, probably cheaper than replacing the batteries!  I will now have flashing collars in all the emergency services colours including doctor and coastguard,  lol.

Ooh I like those! My sister bought me some reflective collars with red LED lights on some years back, 2 of them are still working and they are great. Luckily most of mine have big white patches so I can still spot them in the twilight, but my cocker does tend to blend in!

I have just bought a new german led collar too....we walk at twilight on a country lane, which doubles as a cycling path...my dog is now a flasher!! .In Italy about  2 in 10 cyclists will have lights on their bikes ,so at least we are visible. it's been invaluable and I recommend getting one of these collars  for winter walks.

Head torches might work.  I also make sure I carry a torch, the dogs wear reflective coats and flashing collars feet wraps with reflectives on.  I also know someone who puts a big bell on the collar

I have just ordered a Green and Pink collar, so we can see which dog is where :) :)

I've got a light up coller for my girl, it's a row of led lights that have 3 settings, on, slow flash or fast flash.it's funny watching a red ring dancing about the field in winter.
I looked at a few and some were 7 or 12 pound but I got no from the range shop for £2 it worked fine and it lasted all winter and still works on the original betteries
