I regularly take a generic tramadol capsule called Zydol. The capsules are usually half green and half cream in colour. However my latest prescription the capsules are all cream in colour. They seem to be the same according to the description on the box. Just wondered if it is normal to change the colour of capsules? thanks

Probably ok but I think your pharmacist would be the best person to ask.

My medication is for ever changing and it seems that the pharmacy at my doctors buy in from whatever manufacture is offering the best deal each week. It is very confusing but I suppose I should be pleased they are trying to save my money. And yes, I have had tramadol in three different colours and once plane white.

no help at all to the OP im afraid, but I really wish there was a bit more consistency with types of tablets and what colours etc, I was very close to taking my dogs tramadol instead of cold cures the other day!

btw, I also know someone who accidentally took her dogs epilepsy meds by mistake once......................

It would be nice if they had at least some clue on them we could access - of the 20+ I take a day only 4 are coloured or a different shape the rest are white and round but if I make a mistake it would be put down to my being incapable.

Thanks for the replies. I can't ask the pharmacist until the weekend unfortunately. I was just worried they had somehow put the wrong pills in the pack. Unfortunately I can'y wait until the weekend to take them so will just have to take the chance. They are in the normal packet. If they had been by a different manufacturer then I would have been le3ss surprised.

I know what you mean I also have to take another pill that is almost identically coloured but only once a day. I am sure I have taken the wrong ones before now. :(. Oh well at least i will be able to tell the two apart for now.
