I'm wanting some info on various screenings for dogs. I know of and have gone to a well known lady in the south to do the hip and elbow tests for a few years. Iv got 3 other tests sorted out that tend to be done in mainland Europe its just these last 2 that I need more info on.....

Iv done heart tests in adult dogs but am wanting to know what is the youngest/ best age you can get the grading done? Also roughly how much does it cost these days?

Where is the best place to get eye tests done as iv seen the service offered at shows, and again roughly how much? There isn't a specific eye test that is needed for my breed I just wanted them looked at to make sure they are fine.

Thanks

Iv found the eye tests on BVA and it looks like the cost is £51, can any vet do the screening then send it off to a panel like the hip and elbows?

For eye testing there are set fees, which is why it is cheaper at group events.  On the BVA health scheme page you have all the details and a list of the eye panellist vets.

I was going to get one of mine eye tested at Midland Counties, but as a friend needs hers eye tested as the bitch has come in season we are going to our nearest panellist, will be more expensive £55 I think now.

Is there anywhere that has a list of what shows are offering the eye tests?

There is usually a diary of eye testing events on the BVA eye page.

There is a page on FB that lists dates - in its "files" section I think: https://www.facebook.com/groups/170959846274011/

Eye testing at shows (if more than 25 dogs, which is usually the case) currently cost £35 per dog for the basic test. Hence it is well worth having it done at a show as you would expect to pay a lot more privately. The FB group as mentioned is excellent for finding out sessions.

You can find lists of the eye tests on the BVA page or they also advertise them in the dog papers. The cost is cheaper through a breed club or ringcraft club but I paid just over £50 for mine.

Heart testing can be done by any cardiologist however certain ones run with the KC and breed club schemes and will do them at a fraction of the cost, myself and another put on a heart testing day covering ECG, Auscultation with certificate at just over £40. My own vet was going to charge over £100 and then they'd have to send off the results for the correct cert to be completed at another cost. I know Boxers do heart testing days but not the ECG, Wolfhounds and Newfs have them too. I know of 2 vets in the south east who will do this around £50 for an individual appt.
